Introductory Post: Emily and Cami

As our first blog post we wanted to give you all a basic summary about us!

My name is Emily, I am 21 years old and a senior at UNM. I am from Chicago, Illinois and am studying marketing. I also play on the Women’s Soccer Team at the University. I committed here to play my senior year of high school, which by the way is very late. Ever since that moment I have been nothing but grateful for this opportunity... I am a goalkeeper and have developed my level of play, friendships/relationships and leadership skills throughout my past few years! Looking at our team, I would define us as a close knit family… serious and competitive on the field—but goofy off. When I’m not on the field playing, I spend a lot of time focusing on school and my personal interests. A couple aspects that I value the most in my life are; my family, friends and my health.

Hey y’all! My name is Cami Floth and I’m a junior here at UNM. I am from Fort Worth, Texas and also on the women’s soccer team. I committed to play soccer here at the University of New Mexico my junior year of high school. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs here at the university, but am very grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given. The perks of being a student-athlete are cool and all, but like Emily said, the relationships with the people in the women’s soccer program are something I’ll cherish forever. Off the field, I soak up every bit of free time I get with my friends. I fill in the in-between time with studying and homework.
